Removing the stump is optional – you can either leave it as-is slightly sticking out of the ground, have the stump ground below grade until it is no longer visible, or remove it completely. Each of these projects uses different tools, labour effort, and skill level. Procedures largely depend on your project scope and hopes for use on your property.
